I approach my work intuitively and as an exploration of emotion. My style contains an expressive element and I am not limited to any particular subject matter. I often have an idea of what I want to paint, but have to put that aside and allow the creative process liberty. Color, texture and movement are very important to my process. Any technique that keeps my paintings spontaneous I will investigate. I often work in series and many have been birthed from my journeys in life. I enjoy exploring subject matter that centers on my favorite places to travel. I am continuously inspired by my surroundings and I imagine paintings in ordinary things I see. My goal as an artist is to evoke an emotional response in others when they view my work.
